	at usenix this week, a paper was presented on the performance of 
FreeBSD 2.0.5, Linux 1.??, and Solaris 2.4 running on the same 586 platform

	FreeBSD's networking performance is significantly better than 
either Linux (problematic code) or Solaris (STREAMS).
