Hi,

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have the same solution in mind, as the
Target is very in expensive (PC + free BSD). But the Management has put a
new SPIN. In feature, if we have to support PowerPC, ( I am not very sure if
freeBSD works on that?) then what approach we have to use.

Also ...bit of a background...

All our developers are used to work with Cross Compiler earlier. We used
Chorus. For some business reasons, we have to move on to Free BSD. So the
developers wants these BSD stuff transparent to them.

They wan to use the system as they were using earlier. Just they login to
HP_UX and do all the stuff.
Only Debugging was done on the Target machine. We use ClearCase and
Clearmake. It doesn't work on FreeBSD.
.-----End of background --------

Hence we said we will explore the possibility of this CrossCompilers. We
gave the solution using the View Extended NFS mounts on to BSD system. It
will continue, while we explore the CrossCompiler Issues.

I am not very keen on this Cross Compiler decision. But.....

Anyway... Thanks
prasad
