I was trying to make such an atapi CD work this afternoon. Have no
experiences with IDE. It is listed in dmesg as:

acd0: CDROM <ATAPI CDROM> at ata1-slave using PIO4

cdcontrol cant find any CD "in drive /dev/cd0c".

Just a broken drive ? Never had such problems with SCSI.
Tried to add a line "device acd0" to MYKERNEL but
"no such device"...
