Use cvsup and the supfile /usr/share/examples/cvsup/doc-supfile to
download a copy of the SGML sources.  Then read the FreeBSD
Documentation Project Primer for New Contributors at:

http://www.FreeBSD.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/fdp-primer/

This should get you started :)
