People keep saying this, but my Abit IC7 is i875P/ICH5, and I'm using 4
ATA devices along with the SATA drive that hosts FBSD with no problem. I
haven't CVSup'd a recently, but I do run a -C (my last checkout on my
desktop was Feb. 14) and it works great (I checkout regular updates on my
laptop, but I'm conservative with my desktop on this front).
