What directories are listed in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XftConfig? Mine has:

>dir "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1"
>dir "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/URW"
>dir "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/webfonts"
