I think that one of the goals of the FreeBSD JDK group should be to
provide quick turn-around FreeBSD ports of the JavaSoft JDK releases.

When Walnut Creek ships a FreeBSD CDROM, it should contain the latest
JDK as of that date.  It would have been nice to have had 1.1.2 JDK on
the FreeBSD 2.2.5 CDROM.

The idea of using a central CVS repository should speed up the ports.

Maybe even betas could be released quickly, like the 1.2 beta that is
out now.
