The insinuation as, I think, to boot -c, remove all the devices you don't
have, then apply the fix.  By deleting the ep0 device (and the other
network devices) you shoul get past that point.

Incidentally, to 'boot -c', type a key at the kernel countdown, then type
'boot -c' at the prompt.
