Just a quick note... despite my problems with the upgrade process, I have
found the r.c. 3 snapshot to be a pleasure to install and run.  It is
remarkably good despite its rough edges and I think all the
programmers should be commended for their excellent work.  It's great to
be able to install KDE and have X working right "out of the box."
