This isn't a time-out; sysinstall is evidently dumping core or some
such.  Novice mode never just reboots your system without a lot of
questions first, so unless your keyboard is stuck repeating an ENTER
key or something, this is not what is going on.  Unfortunately,
without a lot more details, it's hard to say what IS going on here.
