>Environment:
System: FreeBSD 4.5-RELEASE i386

>Description:
If both gettext-0.10.35_1 and gettext-0.10.40 are installed the
configure script for bugbuddy uses msgfmt from gettext-0.10.35_1 instead
of msgfmt-new from gettext-0.10.40. The build fails with msgfmt finding an
illegal control sequence
>How-To-Repeat:
Install gettext-0.10.35_1 and gettext-0.10.40 then build bugbuddy
>Fix:
work around: edit ../po/Makefile and replace msgfmt with msgfmt-new
