Leave it to an Aussi! With the /set log on option and a few other command in the .ircrc file screen will do it I used: %nohup screen irc -c #roomname nickname servername.net then ctrl-a and c % screen -d detached % logout Actually I suppose screen -D takes care of the logout and nohup is probably not needed. Thanks for your help, David -----Original Message----- From: storm <storm@entopia.com.au> To: DS <david@belarus-online.com> Date: Monday, May 24, 1999 9:19 AM Subject: Re: Logging Chat rooms, nohup doesn't work? >Just a thought.. have you tried running it under screen? > >Shane > > >At 09:57 AM 23/5/99 +0300, you wrote: >>Greetings freebsd'ers >> >>First thanks to everyone who have put out this soft, I love it and have been >>tinkering with FBSD since 1994 >> >>I have a chat roon and would like to log everything that goes on in it.
