In what way doesn't it work? You mean your PC doesn't support
booting from CD or that the FreeBSD kernel can't find the CD drive?

kern.flp and mfsroot.flp are for 3.x only. For 2.2.8 the file is:

<CD-ROM 1>\floppies\boot.flp

but you can make the floppy by running makeflp.bat in the root
directory of CD 1.
