>Description:
I am using Intel 815 chipset. Installed XFree86 4.0.2 from ports.
Whenever I try to switch to console from X (using Ctrl+Alt+Fx key combination) and try to get back to X (using Alt+F9), X died
From /var/log/XFree86.0.log I can summarize that the problem is related to agp kernel module and Intel 810 driver from XFree86 4.0.2.
I don't know whether this problem affects other VGA card or not, but I am hearing others have the same problem on -STABLE too.
Other than this problem, a lot of application are dying because of signal 10 (bus error) problem. Among them are: Enlightenment 0.16.5 and Window Maker
's WPrefs apps installed from ports. I think this has something to do with the problem I am reporting now.
>How-To-Repeat:
Start X. I am using startx.
Go to console (I am using Ctrl+Alt+F2).
Try to switch back to X ( I am using Alt+F9).
X will die immediately
