Hi everybody,

I have successfully installed some QIC tape drives with FreeBSD, some
Wangtek 5150ES and similar (Archive, ...) and some Tandberg SLR 5 in the
past, and now I want to get a SLR6 (before known as SLR24, a 12/24 GByte
1/4" tape drive) to run with FreeBSD. The machine is a P-II/400 on a
Asus P2B-S, one SCSI disk (IBM LVD drive) and the SLR6 tape (UW-SCSI)
connected as SCSI ID 15.

I built a RELENG_3 CVS version on it, which was a 3.3-RC this morning,
and the kernel recognizes the tape drive fine. The hard disk works
also flawlessly, and I'm sure I've connected and terminated everything
write.

So I tried to run this:

dump 0uaf /dev/nrsa0 /
dump 0uaf /dev/nrsa0 /usr
dump 0uaf /dev/nrsa0 /home
dump 0uaf /dev/nrsa0 /var
dump 0uaf /dev/rsa0 /tmp

The root file system is dumped fine, as it seems. Every further dump
gives me the following error message:

.../kernel: (sa0:ahc0:0:15:0): WRITE(06). CDB: a 0 0 28 0 0
   /kernel: (sa0:ahc0:0:15:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:50,0
   /kernel: (sa0:ahc0:0:15:0): Write append error

What happens? Did I miss something?

Thanks in advance, as always :-)

Regards,

Martin
