I'm aware of the Ansible pull mode. We are currently running Puppet and
CFEngine in this mode at work. CFEngine runs as root. Puppet runs as a user
that has sudo access to invoke the agent, as root. The couchdb playbook you
listed runs as root.

I'm still unsure how this is useful. Plus none of the files owned by the
package will be installed as this uid/gid. If I included something like a
periodic(8) job and a sudo config snippet, it would make sense. But these t=
asks
are better performed by the administrator.
