I use Media One and it works just fine with FreeBSD. All you need
is a DHCP client. I've had good results with the WIDE version, which

It's not dynamic in the same sense as dynamic PPP dialup. Your IP only
changes when mediaone does some sort of massive renumbering.
My IP has changed once in the 4 months that I've had the service.
