Or, if you just wanted the version of UPDATING that was on the 4.7 CDs,
scroll to the bottom of http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/UPDATING,
select 'RELENG_4_7' in the 'View only Branch' box and hit the 'Set'
button.  I assume that the CDs would have been cut using the
RELENG_4_7_0_RELEASE tag, so the version you want is probably the last one
on the page, 1.73.2.74.

I suspect Matthew is right and you were really looking for the release
notes, though.
