No, I don't have real ESS docs. I have 1)the usual DSMaestro2E 3-02-98.pdf datasheet, 2)some small stuff I grabbed off ftp.esstech.com.tw (nolonger exists on the site?) and 3)source code for Maestro 2E Board Test (BTM2E.EXE) program which I downloaded from ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/manuals/ess/maestro.tar.gz. For legacy support, source code for BTM2E.EXE should get you going. Be aware, FreeBSD doesn't support DDMA, you need to hack around that too. I've got a small DDMA patch for 3-STABLE, which dosen't apply to -current, though...
