The ftok() prototype is in -stable:

  1.5.4.2 Mon Jun 3 10:44:25 1996 by joerg 
  Branch: RELENG_2_1_0
  Diffs to 1.5.4.1 ; Diffs to 1.8 

  Merge from HEAD: add a prototype for ftok().
