[5-STABLE]

Hello to all,

I use icewm as default wm. Today I compiled gnome2 to give it a try and
I received the error below:

=====

_IceTransmkdir: ERROR: euid != 0,directory /tmp/.ICE-unix will not be created.
_IceTransSocketUNIXCreateListener: mkdir(/tmp/.ICE-unix) failed, errno = 2
_IceTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: failed to create listener for local

** (gnome-session:972): WARNING **: Cannot establish any listening sockets

waiting for X server to shut down

=====

My first thought is a permission problem same as firefox a few weeks
ago, so I login as root, startx gnome2 and exit. Now, gnome2 starts ok
with my user.

Can anyone checked this out?

If you got gnome2 working ok as a regular user, please try the following
setup:

(as root; console mode):
#	rm -r /tmp/.X11-unix/
#	rm -r /tmp/.ICE-unix/

(as a regular user):

$	startx (gnome2)

I got the same error everytime I do this.

Thanks,

	Nuno Teixeira
