Well, you don't have to use the worm driver, because cdrecord exists and it
supports many more drives.. It talks to the cdr directly using SCSI commands.

cdrecord doesn't support IDE drives under FreeBSD (I think it does under
Linux), but its support of SCSI drives is excellent.
