Its not a rumor, I've implemented support for DVD+RW in the ATA
driver in early august, however I dont have access to DVD-R/RW
hardware so I dot know if that works.

UDF writing would be nice, I have patches for doing packet writing
on CD-RW lying around already (hint hint) :)
