I have already been asking if Sun can provide machine(s) for this project informally. If we seriously want to have support from Sun, we have to show them the (potential of) good market for this OS. And convince them the porting can be done. I don't ask Sun to provide $$$ nor as official request from FreeBSD- SPARC. I've been asking about machines only. Of course, I'm speaking here privately.
