You probably have a newline in the SOA record. The ( must be on the same
line as the SOA statement.

@	864000	IN	SOA	dom.ain	hostmaster.dom.ain (
	2002040301;	//serial
..... rest of record.

That first line might have a newline before the (. I had it and was
getting this error.
