line1 is simply another line in, usually availiable as a connector directly on the card (on the inside, not the back plate), looking like the cd audio connector.

I've connected mine to a 1/4 inch "phono" plug, where I can plug in my korg synth.

I don't know aboyt igain / ogain though (I don't even have an igain).
