This whole concept originated from a discussion on the -newbies
list about how to clear the scroll back buffer from a console terminal.
The 'clear' command does not do that.

I can appreciate that veteran users would look at this with
a, "Well why don't you just...?" perspective, but I'm rather disappointed
at the large number of people who chose to comment (often derisively)
without even bothering to understand the issues at hand (which were
discussed in the port's documentation).

At the same time, the large number of people who commented with
helpful responses and suggestions are appreciated, and will help encourage
new users to make contributions. Perhaps someone could suggest to the
author how to get the number used for scrollback so that his program could
be more useful and more flexible? Or perhaps suggest a better way to
accomplish his goal?

Also, I agree that a collection of "Stupid user tricks" (sorry
Dave :) like this would be a good thing, however I don't think that the
ports are the place for it. How about some handbook pages?
