I believe you can run it with the linuxulator by adding linux_enable=YES
in /etc/rc.conf and installing net-im/skype4 .   In the case that
doesn't work try wine maybe?  The hosts of the BSDNow podcast have said
they're using Skype and freebsd so it should be possible.

Hangouts should work as last I used it there was a browser plugin for
chrome for it which is available in freebsd.
