Check the samba docs for an explanation of what the different protocols
are, but I have mine set to LANMAN2 in a domain environment.

Subject: Windows XP/Samba

Hello,
Has anyone managed to successfully get a Windows XP client talking
to Samba. Despite RTFM's and long experiements I can only get a
guest (nobody) login to work.
Maybe I am missing something.
I think protocol NT1 is the right one to use ?
