this may also require some changes in the kernel. I'm willing to look
into getting this working (I looked at a few months ago and still have a
vague idea what's needed), unless someone else *really* wants to do it.

I'm also thinking about doing this (from the TODO) -

"- fix operation of close_allactive() in isdnd"

since its current sorry state is basically my fault.
