Ah that is very cool indeed.  I'll keep my eye on the cvs commit logs then, 
and I've moved the current kernel (with one working slot) to /kernel.GOOD 
so I don't make the same mistake I made before.

Updating, having it not work, trying again, and ending up without any 
network connectivity on the box because /kernel.old was overwritten is no fun.

Booting 4.3-RELEASE (GENERIC) to get some semblance of functionality is 
even less fun.

Compiling kernels and then using SPLIT(1) to move them over via floppy and 
reassemble them is the least amount of fun possible. ;)
