Speaking of C++, there is a showstopper problem in 2.2-ALPHA with
respect to STL.  The fix appears to be simple and a patch has
been submitted via send-pr.  I have neither space nor time at
this final hour to check it out personally or I would commit it
myself, but it would *really* be a shame to ship 2.2 with an
inoperable STL because of 3 missed files in the stdc++ library...
