I happened to see this on www.buy.com in the "Clearance" area, http://www.buy.com/clearance/product.asp?sku=70000827 To summarize, they are old, refurbished Dell laptops with a P100, 770 MB HDD, and a few other of the ususal laptop gizmos. Yeah this is mid-90's hardware, but they're selling 'em for $325. I don't _need_ a laptop, but it could be handy from time to time. And using FreeBSD on "legacy" hardware has always treated me well. Any opinions as to whether that's a good deal? And whether FreeBSD would handle that hardware well? Thanks. -- Crist J.
