I found a 3.2 Gig Quantum for $399 from PC-Zone > which I could justify over a ~4.0 Gig EIDE drive for around $360. You should be able to use it with an adapter. I also don't think you would lose much/any performance, unless you are using more bandwidth than the card allows(10MB/s) You would be well off getting a better card(PCI), such as NCR/Symbios cards. Very cheap, and peform very well.
