No, it requires its own partition. I once installed slackware onto a DOS
partition as well... seemed to me very buggy, as the system was slower
than normal and seemed to crash much too frequently... even for Linux. :)

I guess it would be nice for a single user system you just wanted play
around in and didnt need rock solid stability.
