I observed the same symptom on 5.1-CURRENT (yesterday) and 5.1-RELEASE. "acpiconf -s 3" suspends the machine. But, when it's resumed, the LCD display remains blank. The keyboard is operational so that I can reboot the machine by typing blindly. Also, lid-close after acpiconf -s 3 mysteriously resumes the system.
