Avoid the Intel cards; go with the Alteon-based or SysKonnect cards.

(NetGear and 3com, amongst others, make cards based on the Alteon 
chipset.)

You should avoid the Intel cards because Intel themselves refuse to 
release sufficient documentation to produce an efficient driver.
