3.2S In the file /etc/hosts.allow line ftpd, telnetd : hostname.domainname : allow goes fine, but line portmap : hostname.domainname : allow does not work. It wants be modified like this: portmap : 1.2.3.4 : allow Does it means that only daemons called via inetd understand host names? Why? And is it normal that short versions of hostnames do not go into /etc/hosts.allow ? To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
