I do not use it myself but it has been reported many times to run as a
charme.
I got a benchmark test where the 3ware controller was more than two
times faster (mirror) than one of the "smaller" scsi controllers.
Thinking at the trouble I hat the last days with my mylex and the
attached backplane I would definitely consider the 3ware, not speaking
about the price :).
3ware even offers a web admin-interface which is a big advantage because
most scsi-RAID controllers lack userland tools at the moment.
As I said, I did not test it myself so please korrekt me if something
was wrong.
