Or you could look into sftp.  I use mindterm for alot of my ssh'ing and it
has a feature called FTP -> SFTP bridge.  I don't know if this is specific
to mindterm tho.  I ssh to the box, enable the bridge, and then ftp to
localhost.  Works quite smoothly.
