This is not good
it indicates that either the firmware on your SCSIcard or one of the 
SCSI devices has lost it..
in fact we can say that aha1542 has "lost it" for certain..

If you can set some options to do with negotiation on the SCSI bus
then try that (there might be something to stop it from running at 10MB/sec)

also try slowing down the BUS accesses, (though that is a lot less likely)
