Ok .... apologies - here's my corrected version:

The last time *I* used Ethernet cards based on the broadcom chipset the driver caused me massive problems. It was terrible. I hated
it. I switched to intels. This solved my problem. .... IMHO

Sorry for my earlier post.... and before something flies back yes I did understand your reply ;)
