I haven't had any luck with flash - it doesn't _always_ crash but too 
often, so I have simply deinstalled flash. I haven't ever seen a usefull 
and informative page which had these qualities solely because of flash.

To get rid of those anoying requests to install flash, remove the 
following file:

   libnullplugin.so

(I use mozilla, I guess it's the same for firefox).
