France had a usable network long before most other places...you can blast=
 X.25
now, but you never saw the kind of packet loss you do on overloaded routers
today, just slow downs (which is what should happen). The problem with most=
=20
existing X.25 networks is that they're using old, archaic equipment with=
 slow=20
processors and not enough memory. Of course the other issue is that X.25=20
seemed to be a bit too complicated to implement for most......as theres a
LOT of really terrible code out there......
