stack overflow's happening, but perhaps it's an instance of infinite recurs=
ion
or so.

For some reason we are not getting a stack trace.  I'm not sure why, I think
that should generally work in the face of double faults.  Assuming you're
running a release kernel, the other quick thing to try is a GENERIC kernel =
with
debugging enabled.
