I too would be rather remiss to see voxware axed from current.  I have a
plethora of real creative cards in use that I just love voxware for.
I've never quite had the same luck under pcm with them.  I don't know an
awful lot about sound drivers, or voxware in particular, but if you are
willing to pick this up I don't mind testing code.
