Hi, was anyone successful installing and running Oracle9i on FreeBSD? I seem to get through with the installation if I hack genclntsh (add -L /usr/lib/gcc-lib/bla... -lgcc, and then remove "-z defs"). Unfortunately I cannot start the listener. Lsnrctl start complains "TNS-01150: The address of the specified listener name is incorrect TNS-01153: Failed to process string: (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=127.0.0.1)(PORT=1521)))" This is with FreeBSD 4.7-Release, and with linux_base-7.1_1 and linux_devtools-7.1 (yes I also needed to add some symlinks so that sed, awk, and expr are found at the right pathes :-( ) -- Regards, Georg.
