I use /bin/date for the ones I don't want to have shell access. They
log in, use their login id and password, then get the current time and
date and are logged off.

I had thought of writing a quick program which would print out a message
of some sort (perhaps from a file), but haven't done it yet. I am close
enough to talking myself into doing it that if there was some real
interest, I could be talked into it.

If I did write it, would the 'people in charge' be interested in
including it with the system? If so, what requirements would I have to
meet to have this happen?
