I have been most happy with my 8 Meg Matrox Millenium I which is pretty cheap
these days.  I like this better than my ATI xperession 4 Meg and it has better
high end resolution/bit depth than my Fire GL 1000 whose 3d features aren't
even supported under FreeBSD.  I have had no problems with my Mellenium under
Xfree.
