I'd suggest the single PIII, as my experience with multi-processor systems
has been less than enjoyable and the performance hasn't wowed me.  The
PIII has more on-board cache which increases performance greatly.

However, FreeBSD doesn't chew up a lot of CPU cycles, so it's really a
matter of personal preference.
